LUCIA DELLA PAOLERA received her BA in English and Music from University of Pennsylvania in 2010. Her translation of Jorge Luis Borges Sobre La Escritura, a book of conversations with the Argentine writer, is forthcoming. She interprets and translates for Safe Passage and African Services Committee, organizations that provide free legal assistance to undocumented immigrants facing possible deportation. Lucia has worked in art institutions such as BAM and ICA Philadelphia, and as editor and writer for various art publications. She has contributed poetry and essays to a variety of anthologies and exhibitions, and has curated performance art series and performed in venues in New York City and Philadelphia. She is currently working on a new, politically-charged production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni, which she will co-produce and sing in. Lucia organized and will moderate the panel discussions on prisoners’ rights and prison reform that precede the May 28 and June 11 performances of this play.
