Daniel is a member and soloist with the Limón Dance Company in New York since 2006. Born and raised in Bogota, he has been a member of various companies like DFUN, the folklore dance group of the Unieversidad Nacional, Danza Teatro Arte de Bogota, PSOAS and Coreolab Danza Contemporánea. He graduated from the Folkwang Hochschule de Essen (Germany) and was invited to dance with the master performances of La Consagración de la Primavera and Tannhaeusser de Pina Bausch. He has also performed with notable companies like La Fura dels Baus and Kuo Chu Wu.
Currently he forms part of the creative team as choreographer for ID STUDIO THEATER NYC, a non-profit theater company in New York, under the direction of German Jaramillo. In 2008 and 2010, respectively, Daniel earned creative grants from Harlem Stage (New York). He is founder and artistic director for Pajarillo Pintao, an ensemble of danza with a base in Germany and New York. Daniel is also co-founder, alongside Ana Amadei, of DanSUR/DanSOUTH Danza Festival in New York, celebrating choreographers and dancers of Latin America.
